Our Crazy Family. We’re livin’ it up in the cold but beautiful state of Michigan. Conan works for a great company called TechSmith, and we have a great 6 bedroom house (that needs some work) on about 9.5 acres. We have three boys: Neils is 8, Burke is 5, Keane is 4, and Evangeline is 1. Melissa is a stay at home mom homeschooling her kids, and loving it. Most of the time.

For old history’s sake: Conan and Melissa (formerly Lovelady) met at a Big Band Swing Dancing club at BYU and married in 1997. We immediately moved to China for some language experience, and moved back and forth between California, Utah, and Ohio several times before heading to Indiana University. There Conan completed his Master’s Degree in Instructional Systems Technology, which is actually in the field of Education, not Technology. Melissa completed her BA in English and Linguistics in 1999 and has worked several odd jobs including as a copywriter, florist, and calculations analyst. Go figure. We have been foster parents in the past and will probably foster again in the future. We’ve learned a lot, and continue to learn and grow. We always feel like we’re on the brink of insanity… but not quite over. Life is beautiful.
