More about “The Girl”
Evangeline has always had strong opinions. Even as an infant. Today she is strawberry blonde, and that itty bitty bit of red is enough to make things explosive. My boys recently discovered the old saying “sugar and spice and everything nice, that’s what little girls are made of.” They quickly amended it for their sister: “Sugar and Spice and a little bit of dynamite…” Yow. That’s our Evie.
When it comes to meals, she prefers a smorgasboard… “What’s this? JUST pizza for dinner? Where are my options?” She can easily be mistaken for a picky eater. Not so. She LOVES a large variety of foods and therein lies the problem, she prefers all variety of foods at every meal. It’s helping me be a better nutritionist, that’s for sure. By the time she was 9 months old she insisted on feeding herself with a spoon or fork, whichever was most appropriate. By the time she was 1 she had all her teeth, and liked to chew on anything and everything. Still does. Makes for some interesting diapers. I’ll leave it at that.
She loves to explore, and nothing makes her angrier than the boys heading outside without her. She could climb before she could crawl. She could run as soon as she could walk. She seriously looks like a little cartoon in fast-forward. It’s hilarious! Wish I had a good video clip. She could jump with both feet off the ground before she was 18 months old. She LOVES the trampoline.
She just wants to keep up with the big boys, and has zero fear. She’s our little Evangeline.

Wow! She is so darling…and looks so much like your boys! What a fun little gal.
Oh my goodness! That last picture is absolutely priceless! You’ll have to watch for it being pirated on somebody’s advertisement somewhere! I love that girl! She must be exhausting to keep up with, but what fun you will have together! Love You Evie!
