Twin Time

June2

I LOVE being a twin. I just HATE that mine’s so far away. I know, not her fault, I’m the one who turned coat and became a Midwesterner. Fortunately, we do find time to visit each other at least once a year, hopefully twice. This year she flew out to our place with her two little munchkins! So SO fun. Some pictures of our crazy kids, though most of the funnest stuff we didn’t catch on film… attempting to make kites of homemade tevlon and shishkabob skewers, Caesarland (Little Caesar’s version of Chuck E. Cheese–but so way better than that noisy crazy place!), and a couple of girl’s nights out! Thanks to Conan for those, and thanks Liz and Bret for making the sacrifices that made this wonderful vacation possible for us. We love you so very very much.

Another Fun Park

We liked this park so much we went back twice! It’s a great location, not too far away, and the atmosphere is just so beautiful and relaxing. (Read as: a pond, and lots of corrals for kids).

My niece was a pro at the monkey bars! It inspired my boys to give it another go, thanks Miss!

Everyone’s favorite was, of course, the tire swing!

Not the best pictures, I know, but the little guys did also have a fantastic time!

We did stop by the house we are considering buying someday (like, if we were ever able to sell our house). The house itself is somewhat disappointing compared to what we have now, truth be told, but the land is awesome.  Here are some pictures of the 20 acre "yard:"

I know, we’re so boring. We never even went to the zoo or anything. I had grand plans of visiting a different lake every day, but the windy, often rainy, 60 degree weather just did not cooperate. So this is what we and the kids wanted to do. I actually feel like we got to know each others’ kids so much better this way. It was really wonderful. Thanks Sis for being you!

We so loved being there with you!! Personally I was glad not to have to go anywhere or plan anything extravagant. (I’m realizing what a homebody I am.) But I think it was nice just to let the kids share everyday life with one another, and love being cousins! We all have some very special memories that won’t soon fade… Thank you for your generosity in inviting us to come, and letting us stay so long. It was a great treat for us!
