Happy Halloween!
I know, a little belated, but sometimes it takes awhile to get these things in order, ya know? SO, we had a family of Superheroes this year. Neils was Dash (from the Incredibles) Burke was Spiderman, Keane was… um… a Ja-weh?

So, due to exhaustion from all the festivities (and cleanup) surrounding Burke’s birthday, and the preparation needed for Neils’, we postponed Neils’ birthday party ’til October 30th. We really tried to honor his requests, which were: "I would like a Halloween Star Wars Legos Birthday Party!" and to invite all of his classmates to his party. The latter request was actually the most daunting part; partly we have no access to addresses for the students in his class, so we had to resort to hand-delivery by Neils at school, and partly because there were FOURTEEN kids invited. We had a grand total of four RSVPs. I had no idea what to expect. There ended up being just seven kids there (whew!) including younger siblings of the invitees. It turns out that a lot of the kids didn’t even get invitations, so that was probably all for the best. Seven was PLENTY. The invites were absolutely adorable though, if I do say so myself. I copied an idea from online where it was written to the kids as if they were Jedi Knights being invited to participate in the Jedi Trials with Neils.
Whew! We survived two birthdays back to back in the busy month of October. First was Burke’s birthday on October 18th.
